Dundrum GFC Club
Notes.
* We are running our annual golf classic
on 10 Sept 2004 at Downpatrick Golf
Club. There are many prizes on the day,
including a chance to win a new Renault
Megane kindly provided by McKibbin Motors,
Clough for a hole-in-one at the Par
3 11th!
There are still some tee offs available
with each fourball costing
£120. For further details and
information on how to become a sponsor
of the event check out our website at
www.dundrum-clg.com or contact Paul
Byrne or Barry Walsh.
* The Seniors lost to Mitchels on Friday
night and as a result will now enter
a relegation playoff with the Newry
men. Therefore the match against Bosco
that was scheduled for last Monday night
does not have to take place as its result
would be rendered meaningless.
* This Saturday Tullylish provide the
opposition in the last eight of the
Harp Lager Intermediate Football Championship.
Dundrum enter the game as the perennial
underdog against a very confident and
skillful Tullylish offering. The time
and venue should be stated in the fixtures
section and at www.downgaa.net
* The Reserves lost by a point to Drumaness
in the East Down Reserve League on Sunday
night. In a scrappy game played in terrible
conditions Dundrum had good performances
from Davy Campbell in goals, Colm Morgan
and Mickey Rooney at the back as well
as Kieran Byrne and Rab Smyth up front.

* The Minors visit Loughinisland on
Wednesday night in the Quarter Finals
of the Minor B Championship. Throw in
is down for 7pm and Gavin Corrigan (Castlewellan)
is the referee.
* A depeted U-16 side lost to Bredagh
by two points last week. Tomorrow night
(Thursday) they will travel to Downpatrick
for a League match.
* It was great to see Declan Rodgers
and Colm Morgan return to action on
Sunday night after long spells out injured.
* Congratulations to Sonia McMullan
on her recent engagement.
