Dundrum Note and Matche Reports
for Weekending 16th May

By Marc Mac Siomoin [marc_mac_siomoin@yahoo.co.uk]

*The Seniors poor start to the season continued on Friday evening when they went down to a very good Darragh Cross team on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-07. Newry Bosco will travel to Dundrum this Friday night in what is a must win game for the homeside.

This Sunday sees the Junior Feis 7's take place in Downpatrick. Dundrum are scheduled to meet Ardglass in the first match of Section B with either Bredagh or Darragh Cross waiting in the semi final. All teams are asked to be present at 1pm for registration.

*The 2nds bowed out of the Reserve Championship at the first hurdle as they fell to Glenn last Thursday night. This Sunday sees the League resume with Bright being the opposition in Killough at 7pm.

*The U-16's had a memorable win over Loughinisland in the League last Thursday on a scoreline of 1-09 to 1-04.Richard Fitzsimons got the goal and Paul McComiskey tagged on with six points. There were excellent performances from the two thirteen year olds in the side, namely Paidi Curry and Conal McKee. Mark Cunningham also played magnificently at midfield. This win gives the side six points out of a possible eight in Section A.

*The U-14's were beat again at the hands of Dromara on Tuesday night. However, this team continues to improve every week.

*The U-12's meet Bredagh on Sunday at home with a 5pm throw-in. Players are to meet at 4.30pm.

* Philly Shields and Aaron Doyle are on car boot duty this Saturday.

* Good luck to all those who are sitting exams in the fortcoming weeks.

* It was great to see Chris Carey return to Senior football on Friday night. Hopefully Kieran Walsh will be back in action in about four weeks. Mickey Murray is also on the mend and should be making a return very soon.
