Dundrum 5-19
Killyleagh 0-01
Dundrum followed up
their win over St Johns with this
facile victory over a weak Killyleagh
outfit. The scores flowed in this one
and to be truthful the Duns could of
had double the tally of what they
ended up with.
Killyleagh managed
to breach the Dundrum backline once in
this game and even this effort was
from a free kick. They gave tons of
effort but the end product was
missing.
Dundrum can extract
nothing from this victory. Yes, it is
another two points in the bag but the
opposition are considerably weaker
than most of the other sides in
Division 4.
Nevertheless, there
were some impressive performers on
show, none more than hat trick hero
Cathal Kielty. His scoring expolits
and deadly finishing were a sight to
behold. Other forwards to show up well
included the tireless Conor McShane
and the experienced Paddy Doran who
was creator in chief.
The midfield battle
was one sided with Aaron Doyle and
Kieran Walsh ruling the roost for the
hour. Walsh's expert free taking and
Doyle's surging runs drove their team
on to no end.
The defence had
virtually nothing to do all night with
Colm King in goals only having to take
one kickout the whole game.
Next up is the
visit of St Pauls and everybody can be
rest assured that Dundrum will need to
dig a hundred times deeper if they are
to prevail in this one.
