The team had their third session on Sunday morning in Ballykinlar. Then on Sunday the lads will play their first match against the winner of the Saul/Bright v Cnoc I Drinn game. Whatever the outcome the panel will be playing away and the match will start at 12pm. Therefore Dundrum players should meet at 10.30am outside Brennan's new shop while Ballykinlar players should meet at their club for 10.45am.
The following players are all expected to attend training and the opening match:

* The Club's Dinner Dance will be held on Friday night in the Slieve Donard Hotel. The meal will start at 7.30pm sharp so Flynns should be vacated by the usual mob no later than 7pm. Special guest will be current Down Senior footballer Daniel Hughes. Anybody who has not yet booked their place should contact any committee member ASAP. Tickets can be paid for on the night.
* Good luck to Declan Kavanagh (St Colman's, Newry) and the duo of Paul Rooney and Richard Fitzsimons (both St Patrick's, Downpatrick) for their respective MacRory and McLarnon Cup games over this coming weekend.
* Paul McComiskey played a starring role for the Queens Fresher's team last week as he popped over six points to secure a draw with arch rivals Jordanstown in the Freshers League.
