Dundrum Notes: Feb 27th 2007

* Good luck to Paul McComiskey and the Queens Sigerson Cup team who will face UCC on Friday at 1.30pm at the Dub in a highly anticipated Semi Final clash. If Queens progress they will face the winners of the UUJ/Sligo IT match with the Final being held on Saturday at the same location.

* Senior training continues tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30pm on the pitch. John Morgan will be in charge of this session. Then on Friday night there will be Circuits in the Parochial Hall with John Morgan and Eddie Campbell jointly holding this session. Finally, on Sunday the Seniors are due to commence their pre-season fixture campaign with an away trip to Eire Og, Craigavon. Details of this match will be made available to the players on Friday night.

* The Senior team weekend away will be taking place on the 9th of March. The players will be staying in the Mount Errigle Hotel in Letterkenny. A friendly with St Eunan's, Letterkenny, has been pencilled in for the Saturday while a sports pyschologist has been arranged for Sunday morning. Players are asked to contribute a fee of around £80 for this venture.

* Anybody who has recently received a Swiss Ball is reminded that a charge of £5 should be made payable to John Morgan ASAP.

* Well done to Paul Rooney (Captain) and Richard Fitzsimons who helped St Patrick's, Downpatrick, progress to the Semi Finals of the O'Doherty Cup last week. The Downpatrick side defeated St Louis, Ballymena, by a point and will now face Our Lady's, Castleblayney, in the Semi Finals.

* Good Luck to Donal Brennan and the rest of the Red High Loch In Iuir side who have made it through to the Final for the second year running. They will meet the team they conquered last year - St Columbs, Derry - in the showpeice decider.

* The Senior team this week will welcome back Marty Melville, Marc Cunningham and Chris Hogg to the fold. All three have been hibernating over the Winter months but have assured their fellow players that they are now well rested and raring to go for the forthcoming season.

* Farewell to Dylan Murphy who has returned to Bryansford after a year's stint in Dundrum. Watch out Kevin Durkin because Dylan's after your job!
