* It was another proud day for Dundrum on Sunday as three club members were involved with the county. Paul McComiskey made his debut as a substitute for the Down Seniors in their draw against Cavan. After scoring a quite magnificent point he went on to set up another for Ronan Murtagh. Paul becomes the first Dundrum player since Jarlath Carey (RIP) and Eddie McKay in the 1950's and 1960's to play for Down at Senior Championship level. Well done Paul from all at Dundrum and good luck for this Sunday in the replay in Newry.
Apart from Paul, John Morgan and Declan Kavanagh were involved in the Down Minor's excellent two point scalp of Cavan in the Minor Championship. This is John's third year coaching the side and the Down team looked all the better for his work. Declan was on the bench for the game and here's hoping he will be involved on the pitch for the Quarter Final game against Monaghan this weekend.Good luck to John and Declan!
* The club held it's inaugural Race Day on Saturday in Downpatrick. With almost 200 people attending our event the organisers can look forward to the Race Day progressing in the future. An enjoyable day was had by all and with the sequence of events running smoothly the organising committee must be applauded for their efforts.
