* Good luck to Paul McComiskey and the rest of the Down Seniors for Sunday when they face Cavan in the Preliminary Round of the Ulster SFC. Best wishes also go to John Morgan and Declan Kavanagh as well as the rest of the Down Minor squad who face Cavan in the Minor FC which will take place before the Senior game.

* This Saturday sees the club's first ever Day at the Races take place in Downpatrick. There has been overwhelming interest in this new venture and here's hoping for an extremely successful day.

* The Seniors relinquished their East Down and Down Junior Feis 7's titles on Sunday afternoon in Ballykinlar. Despite accounting for Dromara (4-07 to 0-04) in the Quarter Finals they fell to Teconnaught (2-02 to 2-07) in the Semis.

The panel for the day was Chris Hogg, Michael Rooney, Neil McComiskey, Cormac Venney, Martin Melville, Jonathan McMullan, Kieran Walsh, Conor McShane, Paul Rooney and John Hurley.

* There was better times to be had for the Seniors on Friday night when they accounted for Mitchels in the League. In the end Dundrum finished three points better on a 2-11 to 1-11 scoreline.
