Senior, Reserve,
Minor Training
and Matches
The first reserve
game of the
season took
place on Sunday
eveing away
to Drumaness.
In a close fought
and entertaining
the side lost
by a narrow
margin.
Training takes
place each week
now on Monday
and Wednesday,
with the seniors
playing Carryduff
in a challenge
game at home
on Friday night
with a throw
in time of 6.45pm.
Reserve players
must attend
at least one
of these training
sessions or
they will not
be considered
for selection.
Anyone who cannot
make training
should let a
member of the
management team
know.
The first senior
league fixture
of the season
will be away
to Attical on
Friday 18th
April, and we
have drawn Bredagh
in the Intermediate
Championship,
while the reserves
have drawn Glasdrumman
in the Reserve
Championship.
Juvenile Training
and Matches
The U12s began
their season
on Sunday morning
with a defeat
to Loughinisland
at the council
pitches.
U12 training
continues every
Friday from
6pm to 7.15pm
either in the
Parochial Hall
or on the pitch.
Players should
bring gear for
both possibilities.
U14 training
takes place
on Monday night
at 7pm in Ballykinlar
- Dundrum players
should meet
at the changing
rooms at 6.30pm
for lifts over.
U16 training
takes place
on Thursday
at 7pm in Dundrum.
The U14 league
begins on Thursday
17th April,
U16s on Tuesday
15th April and
Minors on Wednesday
16th April.
Membership
Membership
for the coming
season is due
ASAP for all
club members
and players
at the following
cost:
Senior - £25
Juvenile (Single)
- £5
Juvenile (Family
– 2 or
more kids) -
£10
These must be
paid for insurance
purposes, and
can be given
to any manager
or committee
member.
Club Gear
A large amount
of the club
gear order has
arrived and
must be collected
from Ollie Forsythe’s
house (2 Castle
Brae, Castle
Hill, Dundrum)
ASAP –
payment must
be given in
full on collection.
However, due
to some problems
with O’
Neills, some
gear has yet
to arrive and
will not for
several weeks
– this
includes all
types of t-shirts.
Club Clean
Up
The club will
be having a
general clean
up of the grounds
and pitch this
Saturday 12th
April from 9.30am
onwards, and
if there are
any club members
willing to volunteer
their services
it would be
most appreciated.
Club Race Day
The club plans
to hold its
second Annual
Race Day on
Saturday 10th
May at Downpatrick
Race Course.
Tickets will
cost £40
each and anyone
willing to take
a table for
10 should get
in touch with
a committee
member. The
club will also
hold a raffle
on the day and
anyone willing
to donate/sponsor
prizes should
again get in
touch with a
committee member.

will be on the
club website
from the beginning
of this week,
however these
will all be
subject to change
over the course
of the season.

the new dates
become known.
Missing Footballs
A bag of footballs
is still missing
from the changing
rooms, and the
club would ask
anyone who knows
of its whereabouts
to get in touch
with a committee
member.
Alzheimer’s
Society
Claire McKibben
is running the
Belfast Marathon
on Monday 5th
May to raise
money for the
Alzheimer’s
Society –
anyone interested
in sponsoring
her can do so

Brendan Cunningham
who was part
of the De La
Salle team who
were beaten
by a goal in
their All Ireland
semi-final.
Well Done

Paul McComiskey
who scored 1-3
for the Down
U21s in their
Ulster Final
success at the
weekend. They
now go onto
play the Leinster
champions on
Saturday week.
