Dundrum Club Notes - 25th February 2008

* The Seniors lost out to Rostrevor on Sunday at the South Down venue. The Division 1 men played some really good football and ran out winners on a 2-14 to 0-06 scoreline.
At the same venue the Reserves lost out to the homeside's second string but the game proved to be very useful as a lot of the younger players got much needed game time at this level.
* This Sunday the Seniors face Saval while the Reserves will take on Ballykinlar. Training continues on Friday's and Tuesday's. The following Reserve players are requested to attend at least one of these sessions: D.Campbell, G.McIllhennon, D.McGrattan, P.Byrne, B.Cunningham, M.Murray, B.Walsh, D.Rodgers, S.McGrattan, P.Smyth, R.Smyth, R.McKibbin, K.Byrne, G.Graham and M.McKibbin.
* Brendan Cunningham had an excellent game for De La Salle, Downpatrick, last week as they progressed to the Final of the Arthurs Cup at the expense of Sacred Heart,Omagh. Brendan lined out at corner forward and bagged two points in a lively performance. Good luck for this week's Final against St Pauls, Bessbrook, from all club members.
* Congratulations to Rory Kavanagh who picked up a Corn na Nog winners medal with St Colman's College, Newry on Saturday. The Violet Hill side beat St Pat's, Armagh, by two points in a very entertaining Final.
* Good luck to Paul McComiskey for today (Wednesday) when he lines out for Queens in the Sigerson Cup. The Malone Road side face UUJ at the Dub with a 2pm throw-in.
* Good luck tomorrow (Thursday) to Aaron Doyle who will be playing for the St Mary's, Belfast, Freshers team who take on IT Tralee in the All Ireland B Championship Semi Final in Portlaise.
* Yours truly is heading off Down Under for the next three months so the PRO duties will be taken over by Peter McVerry. Any queries or submissions should be sent to him from Sunday onwards.
