Dundrum Club Notes - 30th July 2008

* A busy fortnight of football for the Senior team lies ahead. On Monday past the team travelled to Banbridge while on Friday they host Darragh Cross. On Monday, Warrenpoint will welcome the side in Moygannon while next Thursday Ballymartin will make the short trip down the coast.
The Championship is penned in for the 14th-19th of August. Dundrum's opponents will be Bredagh.
* The Reserves took on Kilcoo III's on Sunday evening. In a totally one-sided encounter, the Magpies won easily on a 3-18 to 0-04 scoreline. There are no Reserve games pencilled in for this Sunday.
* Best wishes go to Daryll Northrop and Marty Melville who both sustained injuries in the Reserve game.
* The Minors are back in action tonight (Wednesday) when they travel to Bright. Dundrum players should meet for 6.15pm. Ballykinlar players should be at their gates at 6.30pm.
* The U-16's faced St Johns last night (Tuesday) in the League. In the Semi Finals of the B Championship, they have been paired with Saul.
* The U-14's retained the Damien McCashin Shield on Friday night past in Ballykinlar. Well done to all involved!
Big support would be much appreciated for tomorrow night (Thursday) as the young lads take on Loughinisland in the B Championship Quarter Final replay at Ballykinlar at 7.30pm.
* The U-12's host St Johns on Sunday at the Council pitch with a noon throw-in.
* Good luck to Paul McComiskey and Down for Saturday when they face Wexford.
* Good luck to Neil John McLaughlin and his wife to be Leanne for Saturday when they will tie the knot in Bryansford.
* The club's annual fun day takes place on Saturday the 23rd of August. Anybody interested in helping out should contact Ollie Forsythe.
* As part of our ongoing development programme we are holding our annual fundraising golf classic on Friday 8th August 2008 at Downpatrick Golf Club. There are fantastic prizes on the day but more importantly it is a great opportunity for us all to socialise and have an enjoyable day. The day will comprise of a team golf tournament and three-course meal, followed by the prizegiving ceremony and music in the Tonn Ruray Bar, Dundrum at 10pm that evening. Contact Paul Byrne ( 07970207467) or Barry Walsh for further details.
