Glasdrumman Notes

Glasdrumman and Tullylish played out a tense draw in their Down Intermediate Championship meeting at Drumgath. Glasdrumman started the stronger with a point from a free by Raymond Clarke after two minutes but Tullylish levelled the score with a point from Eamonn Morgan two minutes later. Raymond Clarke restored the Glasdrumman lead with his second point, again from a free, but Davy Corbett levelled the score in the eight minute with a similar score.

Two minutes later a dangerous high ball dropping in under the Glasdrumman crossbar was parried by Glasdrumman goalkeeper Ronan McDowell and it fell in the path on the in rushing Peter Quinn who stuck it in the net to give Tullylish a three point advantage. Two minutes later their lead was stretched to four when Michael McCartan scored. Michael McGuiness and Raymond Clarke with points apiece reduced the Tullylish lead and the half ended with Peter Quinn and Raymond Clarke exchanging points to leave the halftime score Glasdrumman 0-5 Tullylish 1-4.

Glasdrumman, playing against a strong breeze, started the half with a point from Shane Feeney to cut the Tullylish lead to one point. Two minutes later the referee awarded a penalty to Tullylish.
