Glasdrumman, still short half of
their team of last year due to work
committments and injuries, had the
daunting task of a visit to Pairc
Esler to play Shamrocks. Shamrocks
started the stronger and after five
minutes led with two points from
Karl Murphy and one from Martie
Rafferty. Glasdrumman started to
play with more heart and they were
rewarded with a point from a free
by Cormac Murphy in the tenth minute.
A minute later they took the lead
with a goal from Shaun Brennan but
Shamrocks hit back almost immediately
with points from Karl Murphy and
Gavin Treanor to restore their lead.
The last fifteen minutes of the
first half were dominated by Shamrocks
and they added to their tally with
points from Collie Burns, Connor
McCoy, two from Martie Rafferty,
a goal from Noel Heaney and a point
from Gareth Loughran to leave the
halftime score Shamrocks 1-10 Glasdrumman
1-1.
Glasdrumman opened the scoring
in the first minute of the second
half with a point from Pat Mallon
followed almost immediately with
a similar score from Cormac Murphy.
The next two scores came from Shamrocks
but Raymond Magorrian pulled back
another point for Glasdrumman.
Marty Rafferty and Domnic McCartan
scored points apiece for Shamrocks
but Glasdrumman finished the stronger
with a point from Cormac Murphy,
a point from Raymond Clarke and
a goal from a penalty by Cormac
Murphy to leave the final score
