John Brennan
A
confident Glasdrumman U-16 squad
travelled to Drumgath on Tuesday
night having won their last game.
Both teams started well with the two
teams exchanging points in the first
moments of the match. Glasdrumman
gained the upper-hand during the
second quarter with good scores been
taken from Paul Grant, Stefan
McGuinness and Connarie Harrison to
leave the half time score
Glasdrumman 0-7 Drumgath 0-2
In
the second period, further scores
from Connaire Harrison and a great
goal from Paul McCaffrey saw
Glasdrumman put some distance
between the teams. Stefan
McGuinness scored another point
after good work from the defence,
especially the half-back line of
James McDowell, Ryan Doran and Gavin
McCracken. The ever-improving Dale
Grant played his best football yet
for the club playing in the
full-back line alongside Christopher
Cassidy and Jamie Carroll. The team
played well as a unit, but will have
to up their game further for the
away fixture against Glenn next
Tuesday, 7pm.
