Glasdrumman find the going tough against Warrenpoint
Friday night
saw Warrenpoint make the journey to
the Quarter Road to face Glasdrumman.
Warrenpoint started the stronger and
were three points up after nine
minutes before Glasdrumman got their
first score of the game when Cormac
Murphy pointed. Warrenpoint added
another point a minute later before
Connaire Harrison responded with his
first point on the night.
Warrenpoint totally dominated the
next twelve minutes adding a further
1-4 to their tally before Connaire
Harrison got his second and
Glasdrumman’s third point of the
night. Warrenpoint added another
three unanswered point to their
tally before Cormac Murphy brought
the half to a close with a point to
leave the half time score

Glasdrumman
started the second half the way
Warrenpoint had the first, the only
difference being that they were
unable to take the scores when the
chances presented themselves. After
missing three scorable chances the
ball finally ended in the hands of
Connaire Harrison and he found the
Warrenpoint net. Warrenpoint hit
back with two points before Raymond
Magorrian got his name on the score
sheet in the fifteenth minute for
Glasdrumman. A minute later
Warrenpoint added a further point to
their tally but Glasdrumman
responded quickly with a Pat Mallon
point. The last ten minutes were
dominated by Warrenpoint as they
scored a further six points with
Glasdrumman’s reply being a twenty
eighth minute point from Cormac
Murphy to leave the final score
