GLASDRUMMAN GAC NOTES

 

1       Well done to the Senior squad for a hard fought game against Shamrocks on Friday night, earning their first win of the new season.

2       The Senior's next match is at home against Warrenpoint on Friday 27th April, throw in at 7.00 pm.

3       Senior training continues on Wednesday night and Sunday mornings.

4       Unfortunately the Minor League match on Wednesday 18th April against Attical was cancelled due the unavailability of a referee for the game. The next Minor game is away to Annaclone on Wednesday 25th April, throw in at 7.00pm. All players please note the mini bus will leave from the Halway House at 5.45pm sharp. Please contact Kevin Burns on 07759 002075 for further details.

5       The Minor Championship First Round game will be at home to Burren on Wednesday 16th May.

6       Minor training continues this week with the Seniors on Sunday.

7       The U-16's, playing with Atticall, had a good win against Annaclone on Tuesday night. Mark Doran (1-2), Martin McGrath (0-4), Ryan Doran (0-2), Ryan McDowell (0-1) and Ryan Clerkin (0-1) contributed to the score line with Jamie Carroll and David McAlinden also playing their part in the victory.

8       The U-14's, playing with Atticall, had a seven point win against Clann Na Banna on Thursday night with all the players playing their part in the victory.

9       The U-12 League continued on Sunday away to Attical. The team again performed well, particularly in the first half, with Cathal Rodgers(0-3), Connor Cunningham(1-0), Gerard McDowell(0-1) and James Cunningham(0-1) getting onto the scoresheet, supported well by Ciaran Trimble, Patrick Kelly, Ronan Grant, Conor McCartan, Ryan McKay, Conor McKay, Martin McVeigh, Elliott Grant, Shannon Murray and Calum McGrath. The next match is at home to Drumgath on Sunday 29th April, throw in at 11.00 am. All players to be at the Quarter Road pitch for 10.30am.

10 U-12 and U-10 training continues on Wednesday evenings at St. Mary's Primary School pitch at 7.30 pm.

11 A big thank you to everyone who supported the quiz on Friday night, either by donations or their attendance and to all who helped in any way. A special word of thanks for the sandwiches to Brian and Shelia and the staff of the Halfway House.

12 Best wishes from all at the club to Conor Clerkin who is going to New York this week. Looking forward to having you back with us.

13 Club membership fees for 2007 are now overdue. Please forward outstanding fees to Eddie Feeney or any other Committee member.

14 The Minor Feis Sevens have been moved to Sunday 20th May and the Senior and Junior Feis will take place on Sunday 6th May.

15 Bingo as usual on Thursday night at 8.30 pm in the Clubrooms.
