Glasdrumman visited Drumaness
last Monday evening after the
break from football.
Drumaness made the most of a sliggish
start from Glasdrumman and led
by three points after ten minutes.
Connaire Harrison brought the
teams level with a well taken
goal in the eleventh minute but
Drumaness drew away immediately
with a further three unanswered
points to lead by three with ten
minutes to half time. Points apiece
from Connaire Harrison and Cormac
Murphy left the teams going in
at half time with the score Drumaness
0-6 Glasdrumman 1-2. Drumaness
should have been out of sight
at this stage but they had missed
a large number of chances, leaving
the Glasdrumman management much
the happier of the two at this
stage.
Drumaness made a quick start to
the second half and put over a
point within a minute of the restart
to edge them two ahead, but points
from Raymond Magorrian and Colum
Carr levelled the game again in
the thirty fifth minute. Drumaness
again took the lead with a point
a minute later, however Glasdrumman
looked to be turning the tide
in their favour when points from
Cormac Murphy and Connaire Harrison
edged them in front for the first
time after forty minutes. The
teams then traded points, Glasdrumman's
scored by Declan Grant and Raymond
Clarke, before a second Cormac
Murphy point put Glasdrumman two
points ahead after fifty minutes.
The final ten minutes were tense
with both teams missing some good
chances to kill the game off,
but two points from Drumaness
were the only scores to leave
the teams level at the end of
the game with the scores Drumaness
0-12 Glasdrumman 1-9.
Both teams will have been glad
to hear the final whistle as it
could so easily have gone either
way at the end with both teams
guilty of not taking their chances
for a vital two points.
