GLASDRUMMAN GAC NOTES

The Seniors had a hard fought victory over Saul on Thursday evening, running out victors in the end 3-13 to2-13. Their next scheduled game is away to Teconnaught on Thursday 10th July, throw in at 7.30pm.
The Reserves lost out to a very strong Rostrevor side on Sunday with the scoreline not reflecting on how close the game was throughout. Reserve football takes a break now for a couple of weeks over the July holidays.

The U-14s had no game last week, they are at home to Ballyholland in the Championship on Wednesday 9th July, throw in at 7.30pm.
The U-12s had a well deserved victory over Longstone on Sunday. Both teams served up a very exciting game, with Glasdrumman edging it in the end. Well done to Cailum McGrath, Sarah Cunningham, Elliott Grant, Niall Rooney, Dean Murray, Ellen Marks, Amy Marks, Conor McCartan(0-1), Gerard McDowell(1-1), Connor Cunningham(0-6), Ronan Grant(1-2), Shauneen McVeigh, Orlagh Smith, Sinead Grant(2-0), Ciaran Trimble(2-0), Jake Morrison, Michael Cooney, Ryan McAstocker(1-0), Chloe Trimble and Katie Smith.

The Club's first Golf Classic was an overwhelming success on Friday, with a turnout totalling 34 teams. The superb weather really made for the perfect day for golf, obviously someone had done a deal with the big fellow upstairs. The Club and Committee would like to thank Kilkeel Golf Club for hosting the event, the Golf Classic Sub-Comittee for organising the day, all the volunteers who turned out on Friday to help with the smooth running of the event, main sponsors Glasgiven Contracts, all the sponsors of prizes and holes and not forgetting the competitors on the day for making the event such a success. Here's looking forward to our second Classic next year.
The Club Sports was postponed on Sunday due to heavy underfoot condition of the pitch. Another date will be set for the near future.
The Club, Committee and members of Glasdrumman would also like to send their condolences to the Cole family circle on the death of Mickey Cole. Go ndeanai Dia trocaire a d’anam uasail dhilis.
