GLASDRUMMAN NOTES 15th JUNE

GLASDRUMMAN GAC NOTES

1 The Seniors are away to St. John Bosco on Friday 20th June, throw in at 7.30pm.
2 Congratulations to the Reserves who had an impressive vistory over Dundrum on Sunday evening in the first round of the Reserve Championship. They are at home to Burren on Sunday 22nd June in the league, throw in at 6.00pm.
3 Congratulations also to the Minors who had another victory on Wednesday past over Annaclone. They are currently going great guns in the league with a 100% record. They are at home to Annaclone on Wednesday 18th June, tonight, throw in at 7.30pm.
4 The U-14s had two games last week, the first away to Drumgath on Monday 9th. They were very unlucky to lose by two points in a game that swung either way throughout. The scorers on the night were Cathal Rodgers (3-3), Richard McAteer (1-3), Colm Murphy (1-1), Niall Rooney (1-0) and Conor McCartan (0-1). They also played superbly at home to league leaders Mitchells on Thursday 12th. There was only two points between the teams at half time and Mitchels were helped in the second half by a brilliant display from their goalkeeper who stopped everything fired at him aided by the posts and crossbar on more than one occasion. Scorers on the evening were Richard McAteer (1-3), Cathal Rodgers (1-2), Conor McKay (1-0), James Cunningham (1-0) and Conor McCartan (0-1), special note must be made of the superb display in goals by Sean Grant. The remainder of the players also had good games, well done also to Ryan McKay, Calum McGrath, Patrick Kelly, Martin McVeigh, Ciaran Trimble, Jack Newell, Connor Cunningham, Gerard McDowell and Ronan Grant. They are away to Longstone on Thursday 19th June, throw in at 7.30pm.
