GLASDRUMMAN GAC NOTES
1 The Seniors continued their
good form with a hard fought victory
over Bredagh last week to remain
on top of Division Three, this
week they are away to Glenn on
Friday 30th May, throw in at 7.30pm.
2 The Reserves narrowly lost out
to An Riocht on Sunday going down
eventually by 5-13 to 4-10. Their
next league game is at home to
Burren on Sunday 15th June, throw
in at 6.00pm.
3 The Minors also kept up their
good start with a home victory
over Glenn, their next game is
on Wednesday 28th May away to
Mitchells, throw in at 7.30pm.
4 The U-14s are at home to Atticall
on Thursday 29th May, throw in
at 7.30pm.
5 The U-12s narrowly lost out
to a very sporting Tullylish squad
on Sunday at the Quarter Road.
They battled well and only went
down by a couple of points in
the end of a very entertaining
game. Their next league game is
on Sunday 15th June at home to
Annclone, throw in at 11.00am.
Training is each Wednesday evening
at 7.30am at the school pitch,
can those U-12s playing for the
U-14 squad please also attend.
6 The U-8s training continues
at the Primary School pitch each
Sunday at 11.00am.
7 As Down's Ulster Championship
game away to Tyrone on Sunday
8th June is all ticket, can anyone
requiring tickets for this game
please order them through Club
Secretary Art McCartan, or any
other Committee member, by no
later than this Monday, 2nd June.
Tickets will be distributed in
the clubrooms after the home game
against Ardglass on Friday 6th
June.
8 Thanks to all those who turned
out on Friday night for the fund
raising quiz in aid of the new
minibus. Over £400 was raised
on the night, setting us well
on the way to our target.
9 The club's first Golf Classic
will be held this year on Friday
4th July at Kilkeel Golf Club.
The entry fee is £120 per
team of four players. If anyone
is interested in sponsoring a
tee, green or prize or entering
a team for the competition please
contact club PRO, Liam Cunningham
or any Committee member.
10 New Club merchandise now available,
including new kit bags. Please
contact Terry Joyce for any orders.
11 Bingo as usual on Thursday
night at 8.30 pm in the Clubrooms,
the tote currently stands at £
7,350.
