GLASDRUMMAN GAC NOTES

1 The Seniors continued their good form of late with a sound home victory over St. Paul's on Saturday in their last league game of the season. It is expected the first of the promotion play-offs will take place over the weekend of 25th & 26th October, please keep an eye on the press for further details.

2 The U-14s enjoyed a great evening in Burren on Friday despite the heavy rain. They played well against a strong Burren team and made a close game of it with a determined display in the second half with only a few points in it at the end of an enjoyable game of football. Everyone played well, but Barry Magee in goals, Conor McCartan, Cathal Rodgers and Colum Murphy with two goals stood out on the night. Well done also to Ryan McKay, Martin McVeigh, Sean Grant, Ciaran Trimble, Gerard McDowell, James Cunningham, Connor Cunningham, Ronan Grant, Richard McAteer, Conor McKay, Niall Rooney and Jake Morrison. Thanks to the parents who turned out on a very wet night to support the team. Thanks also to Burren for such a warm welcome and the fantastic food afterwards.

3 The U-8s also went well in the Kingdom tournament on Friday night. They put in a series of strong performances making it through to the semi-final where they unfortunately lost out to the eventual winners, Longstone. Well done to Katie Smith, Matthew Brennan, Caolan O'Hare, Jonathan McVeigh, Aidan McVeigh, Kerry Grant, Ronan McGivern, Nathan Mills and Padraig Stevenson. Thanks to the parents of the players who turned out on the night to lend their support for the team. Their next game is at the School pitch on Sunday 19th October, training continues at the Primary School pitch each Sunday at 11.00am.
