Its Championship time and that
has meant that none of the senior
teams have been in action this week.
The seniors take on Warrenpoint
in their opening match of the championship
on Tuesday night. Meanwhile the
U14’s and the U12’s
have all been back in action this
week and with mixed results.
• The Club would like to
wish all teams the best of luck
over the coming weeks as they compete
in their respective championship
matches. We would also like to encourage
all our supporters to continue to
give all teams their full support.
• The U15’s were participating
in the Og Sport at the weekend.
They eventually lost out to Banbridge
in the semi-final.
• The Under 14’s took
on Mayobridge on Tuesday night in
a very close and hard fought match.
These two teams met in Kilcoo a
couple of months ago when it was
the Bridge who came out on top.
This time however it was the Magpies
turn when they won by a single point.
While this was a very good team
performance there where a number
of individuals who stood out. Barry
Kane, Paul Devlin and Donal Rogan
all had great displays.
• The Under 12’s continued
their East Down League play offs
and this time they were up against
the team that just beat them to
both league and championship last
year. However there was no repeat
of that this time as the lads won
by ten points.
• The injury bug that has
hit all underage teams this season
has returned. The club, mentors
and players would like to wish Paul
Devlin a speedy recovery following
his injury at the weekend and look
forward to his return.
• The club would like congratulate
the Camogie team on reaching the
Junior championship Final and extends
its commiserations to them following
their defeat to Warrenpoint.
