Linden
takes managerial role with Bridge - 17/12/2003
Recently-retired
Down football star Mickey Linden has been appointed
as manager of the Mayobridge senior team. The 40-year-old
announced his retirement from county football last
week after a distinguished career.
Linden says he will take a 'step
back' from playing duties but will be available if
needed. His backroom team will include John Murphy
who was Down assistant boss during Pete McGrath's
reign in the Mourne county.
Mayobridge clubmen Jimmy Coulter,
Kevin McClory and James Gallagher will also assist
Linden. Previous boss Jackie McManus stood down after
the county final defeat by Bryansford in September.
