Down Senior Football Semi Final: Mayobridge 2-12 Liatroim 1-08

Mayobridge eased past the challenge of Liatroim to clinch their place in the Down senior football final. Mickey Linden's lads had seven points to spare at Clonduff as they registered a 2-12 to 1-08 victory on Saturday.

Former Down great Linden started the match at full-forward and contributed two points before coming off late in the game with his side well ahead.

Adrian Barry and Robbie Coulter got the Down goals in a six-minute spell just before half-time.

Liatroim's Collie McCrickard found the net with the last kick of the game but it was nothing more than consolation for the Fontenoys.

In the final Mayobridge will meet Annaclone.
