Dromore 1.10 Mayobridge 0.13
Plenty of observers have questioned
the hunger of this Bridge side over
the year but on Sunday in Healy
Park we definitely showed great
heart, drive and passion to claw
back a four-point deficit to clinch
a well deserved draw through a John
Caldwell point in injury time.
Benny Coulter opened the scoring
with a point after a great save
from the keeper, after that the
bridge gifted Dromore a slack goal
and after that the Bridge were chasing
the game. Colm Mc Cullough was on
form in their early stages but points
from Walsh and Benny kept us in
touch. Bad passing was the Bridges
problem in the first half but we
kept plugging away and points from
John Caldwell, Cathal Magee and
Noel Sexton kept us in touch at
the break.
HT 1.6 to 0.6
Benny hit a great score to get us
going at the start of the half but
Mc Cullough clawed that back with
a free. Mickey Walsh then scored
a free himself before Sean O’Neill
hit two frees to but the home side
four up with fifteen to go. But
the bridge showed their experience
and dug deep, points from Benny,
Noel, Adrian Barry and Walsh took
us level with time up. But Dromore
hit a fifty with time up to send
their fans wild but from that attack
a great Mickey Walsh Block set up
Conor Garvey who gave the ball to
john Caldwell who calmly fisted
the ball over the bar to send the
game to a replay.
Scorers Benny Coulter 0.4 , Mickey
Walsh 0.3 , Noel Sexton 0.2, John
Caldwell 0.2 Adrian Barry 0.1 Cathal
Magee 0.1
