There is a lot of satisfaction in the
club with the perfrmance of the under 16
girls team. Following a 1-4 to 5-3
defeat by Ballymartin in the opening
game, the side looked to be in total
disarray, but a well-attended meeting
with players and parents enabled the
team to get a new impetus. This was
apparent in the fine 10.9 to 1-5 win
over Clonduff last week. Team and

The minor footballers got off to a good
start. They beat An Riocht by 2-10 to
2-8 in the opening round of the Burren
Tournament in Dunavil, with Conor Magee
and Gareth Clarke impressive. Next game
in this competition is away to Burren on
Sunday.

The Seconds’ season is launched on
Sunday with a home fixture v Mayobridge
in the All-County premier league,
Division One at Pettit Park [4.30].

For the first time in a number of years,
the club will be fielding a Thirds team
in the South Down Reserve league. John
Markey and Sean Gannon will be in
charge.
The senior team travel to St Pauls in
Belfast on Saturday to take part in the
St pauls tournament.
