Scor na nog Ballad Group into
Ulster Final

The Saul Scor-na-nog Ballad Group
continued their great run of success
when they followed their confirmation
as Down County Champions last week
with a great 1st place in the Ulster
Semi-Final at Edmond Rice College
Glengormly on Saturday evening. The
girls represented their club and
county brilliantly and overcame the
Derry and Antrim champions to progress
to the Ulster Final. Well done to
Grainne Laverty, Claudia Leung-Soon,
Nicole Leung-Soon, Sarah McVeigh and
Cristina Holland for the continuing
credit they're bringing to the blue
and gold.
On a great night for Down,
Loughinisland (Question Time), St
Johns (Set Dancing) and Claire Rooney
(Mayobridge - Recitation) also won
through to the final with Derry (2)
and Antrim claiming the other wins in
the Solo Singing, Novelty Act and
Ceili Dancing.
Well done, Grainne, Claudia, Nicole,
Sarah and Cristina and all the
successful Down reps. You can be sure
of Saul support in the Ulster final at
Silverbridge, Armagh on Saturday
January 20th.
