Ladies Gaelic in Saval in full swing - 02/03/2003

Ladies Gaelic football in the Saval area is now in full swing, with coach Aine Keary keeping busy between the primary school and the club. Aine runs the after-school club at St Colman’s PS where physical education is the name of the game. Then it’s straight to the sports hall where she then takes coaching sessions for boys and girls in both handball and football.

The new Under-13 girls’ team begin their first league campaign tomorrow March 3, while the Under-16 team are preparing for their league also. Teams from St Colman’s PS took part in the Ulster Primary Schools Handball Championships which were held in Saval last weekend, and met young competitors from all parts of Northern Ireland.
