Awards
evening 2002- 23/03/2003
Almost 200 guests and patrons attended
the annual Saval dinner and awards presentation evening
which was held in the Canal Court on Saturday, March
1.
Congratulations to all the recipients
of the various awards which were as follows:
Under-16 Player of the Year: Stephen Sands,
Darren Cunningham received special recognition as
captain of the county minor team;
Premier Reserve Player: Stephen Clarke
Reserve Player of the Year: Malachy McNally.
Senior player: Went jointly to the Hughes brothers,
Daniel and Jonathan.
Handballer of the year: Colm Turley.
The Saval Survey Award winner was Catherine Redmond
and Club Personality of the Year was Edmond Lennon.
Senior team players were presented with Intermediate
Championship R/Up Medals.
A special token of appreciation was
presented to Gerard Hughes who stepped down from his
role of senior team manager.
