SAVAL LADIES FOOTBALL NEWS
Junior Girls maintain winning
ways!!!
Tecconaught 0-3 Saval 4-6
Last Saturday the Junior side
travelled to Tecconaught and
despite quite a number of regulars
missing came away with a deserved
victory.
The win keeps Saval at the top of
the league with 6 wins out of 6
games.
Saval's top performers were:
Danielle Quinn at
fullback,Charlene Malone at left
half back,Catherine Hughes at
centre half back.
The midfielders Aine Crozier and
Jenny Hehir dominated their
opponents.In the forwards Vicki
Lennon, Kim Murtagh and Ashleen McEvoy
stood out.The best player on the
pitch by far was Saval's Jenny
Hughes who had an excellent game
at right half back.
This is Jenny's first year in
football and yet another young
Saval player with a great future
ahead of her.
There are a number of important
league and championship games
coming up at both Under 16 and
Junior level .It is vital that
Saval keep this momentum going and
hopefully have something to
celebrate at the end of the
season.
Training continues Thursdays
7-00pm to 8-30pm.
