On the domestic hurling front, Shamrocks created something of an upset when they had an easy win over Liatroim in the Betsy Gray Cup quarter-final last weekend. In the Hurling Shield competition quarter-final, Darragh Cross were in excellent form slamming six goals past Bredagh on their way to an impressive win.

The Premier S.H.L. commences this Sunday, with the county champions Ballygalget going to Portaferry for a tough opener to the competition.
