2004 - SCOR NA nOG

The Scor na nOg teams had yet another successful year, and are a credit to Eoin Walsh. The set dancing team won East Down and Down titles and got through the semi-final to the Ulster Final. Full marks and congratulations to Michael Walsh, Catherine Walsh, Siobhan Walsh, Kelly-Ann McCullough, Aisling Savage, Shane Rice, Mairead McCullough and Bronagh Furphy.

Indeed there was a remarkable double in this event at the county finals – yes St John’s won – but they also finished as runners up. So congratulations are also due to Siobhan McCann, Colm Kelly, Megan Flanagan, Derbhla Arkins, Roisin McMullan, Michelle Morgan, Aisling Morgan and James Walsh.

The Quiz team of Conor McCombe, Lauren McMullan and Christopher Malone also won the East Down title.
The Ceili dance team of Michael Walsh, Siobhan Walsh, Mairead McCullough, Aisling Morgan, Kelly-Ann McCullough finished second in both the East Down and the all county Down competitions.

Michael, Siobhan and Catherine Walsh represented St John’s in the instrumental section and came a very creditable third place. Martina Cunningham in solo singing and Mariad McCullough in recitation also represented the club with aplomb.

[Eoin Walsh also entered a team of 4 girls and 4 boys in the Ulster Fleadh agus Rince and came 1st in Ulster and 3rd I the All-Ireland.]

Now if the footballers, hurlers or camogie teams though they did well ….
