St John’s Notes 5th December 2007
We adopted three motions at Our Annual General
Meeting on Sunday. The first was to adopt
a “statement of support for referees”.
The other two concerned “Codes of Practice”;
one was for committee members and the other
was to reinforce the codes for juvenile players.
Jackie McMullan was returned for a second
term as chairperson with the other committee
members being Henry O’Hare, Fr Donnelly,
PJ McGrady, Jennifer Savage, Caroline McKay,
Sinead Walsh, Kevin McGlynn, Paddy O’Neill,
Sean Quinn, Henry Morgan, Siobhan McGeown,
Oliver Cunningham, Hugh Fitzpatrick, Patsy
Savage, Seamus Murray, Vincent Arkins, Sean
McKay, Brendan McCann, Bernard Rice, Kevin
Walsh, Kieran Kelly, Conor Burns, Orlaith
McMullan, Ann Cunningham and Grainne McCann.
Commiserations and thanks to our quiz team
of Conor Morgan, Derbhla Arkins, Neil Magorrian
and our solo singer, Daniel McKay, who competed
in the County Scór na nÓg Finals
but despite good performances were unable
to advance.
We are holding a Poker night on this Friday
with £1,000 in prizes.
We extend our sympathy to the family and
friends of Brian McKee and Niall McGowan.
May they Rest in Peace. We also send our best
wishes to Gerard Brannigan (junior) for a
speedy and full recovery.
Now we’re into December it is safe
to mention the “C” word. If anyone
is stumped for an idea could I suggest a St
