Training for our under-16 and under-14
footballers has now switched from
Saturday mornings to Friday evenings
5.30 – 7.00pm. Training for ladies
footballers and camogie players
continues in the clubrooms on Wednesday
evenings, in addition to a session at
the field on Saturday mornings
(10.00am). Under-age camogie training
(for primary school and under-12 girls)
continues in Finnis Hall (combined with
neighbours Dromara) on Sundays (12.00 –
1.00pm).
The lottery numbers on last Thursday
were all high ones – 21, 22, 23 and 27 –
nobody got nothing. The jackpot is now
£1,900.
We extend our sympathies to the families
and friends of Sarah Crawford and Tom
Mulholland. May they Rest in Peace.
The Ulster Council and the Ulster Cancer
Foundation will be holding a “Well Man”
Clinic in the Castlewellan Club on
Thursday (tomorrow) at
7.00pm. This is open to all. The purpose
of the evening is to guide people
towards a healthier lifestyle. It will
consist of general health advice as well
as practical tips to prevent and detect
cancer.
There will be a Community Information
Event on Drug and Alcohol issues in the
Great Hall of the
Downshire Hospital next Wednesday (28th)
from
4.00
to
6.00pm. This is organised by the Down
District Substance Misuse Forum and will
give an opportunity to find out what
drug and alcohol services are available
locally, and to let the Forum know how
drug and alcohol issues affect your
community or organisations, and what you
think local priorities should be.
Our Race Day at Downpatrick
Racecourse will be on Sunday 25th
March.
