St John’s Notes         7th February 2007

Our monthly poker night will be tonight (Wednesday) to accommodate our club dinner dance on Friday. Our Dinner Dance and presentation night will be on Friday (9th February) in the Burrendale Hotel (8.00pm, music by Divine Harmony). There may still be a few tickets available from Caroline McKay (9756 3802 or 078 4110 0253) or Jennifer Savage (4377 1411 or 077 7573 0326. Admission is strictly by ticket only.

Our Race Day at Downpatrick Racecourse will be on Sunday 25th March.

Training for our under-16 and under-14 footballers will be on Saturday at 11.00am. Training for ladies footballers and camogie players continues in the clubrooms on Wednesday evenings. We will be joining forces with Dromara to provide camogie training for primary school and under-12 girls. This will be in Finnis Hall started on Sunday 4th February (12.00 – 1.00pm).

Annual membership is now payable to Paddy O’Neill (4377 0927). Rates have been kept the same as last year - £35 players, £20 students/unwaged, £10 minors, £5 juveniles; £15 non-playing members; £40 family membership (2 adults + 2 or more juveniles).

Pep Keenan has a number of pairs of football boots for sale as well as the usual array of club clothing and playing gear. These are in small sizes mainly.

The lucky numbers on Thursday were 3, 8, 11 and 14. There were seven £10 winners and the jackpot is now £1,800.

We extend our sympathies to the family and friends of Bridgid Theresa (Bridie) Ross. May she Rest in Peace.
