History
of Teconnaught
The words of an old ballad tell us
that hurling was played in Teconnaught in the 1850's,
but today the preference is for football.
This shows us however that Gaelic
games are deep rooted in the area. This club has enjoyed
relative success in its 25 year history reaching the
Junior Football Championship Final in 1988 and have
always endeavoured to promote the Scor Competition
and Gaelic Culture amongst its members.
