Teconnaught Notes as at 2 November 06

This has been a successful year for Teconnaught U10 footballers. In the Bank of Ireland sponsored Carryduff GAC annual tournament, the Teconnaught Team were Section C winners. The Tournament included clubs from Down, Armagh, Tyrone, Derry and Antrim.

The U 10’s are managed by Dominic Mulholland, Seamus Madine, Brian Mc Donald and Barry Casement. The Team is captained by Patrick Grant, a star for the future. The team also participated in other tournaments throughout the year.

Another highlight included The Aisling Foundation Charity Event, which was held on our local pitch at the end of September. The event was sponsored by Dell Computers N.I. and drew a large crowd of supporters. They enjoyed a great match with Teconnaught boys and girls being victorious over old rivals Loughinisland.

Throughout this last season there has been a tremendous turnout every Sunday both for the U8’s and the U10’s. The enthusiasm and enjoyment of the children has been matched by that of their Trainers and Helpers who have included Declan Murnin, Stevie Anderson, Kerri O’ Donnell and Tony Boyle. Everyone is already looking forward to the new season.
