away to Clonduff last thursday
night Teconnaught 2-15 Clonduff
2-1 Marie Madine ,Dawn Mageniss
and Glenda Jackson/Mulholland
were sound in defence.Maria
Kearney and Kerri Greene dominated
the play around the middle ,in
the forward line Natasha Maguire
fired over six points and gave
a fine display up front she
was well assisted by Paula Kerr,Catherine
Greene,andMichelle Greene, Laura
Burns a very determined display
from Teconnaught and all the
panel enjoyed thier football
Teconnaught 11-14 Drumgath 0-5
A powerful performance at the
rann road on sunday night against
Drumgath this makes it four
wins out of five for Teconnaught
ladies .Paula Kerr scored six
goals and was in blistering
form in front of the posts she
recieved a lot of balls from
midfield duo Kerri Greene and
Maire Kearney who both worked
hard in the centre of the park.
Nichole Mulholland and Michelle
Greene saw a lot of the ball
and Michelle scored a great
point with the left boot after
a long run up field , there
was some fine displays of team
scores and you could see the
hard work of both the ladies
and management team this season.This
performance shows under age
teams what can be achieved through
hard work and commitment well
done girls.
*Under 12 boys away to Dromara
the game started well for Teconnaught
and they finished the stronger
in the first half Owen Curran
had a great game in the back
line and was assisted by James
Greene,Patrick Grant gave a
good display up front but unfortunatley
Dromara came back with some
good football in the second
half and eventully ran out winners.Traning
as usual on wednesday 7-8 and
sunday a match at home to Ballykilner
meeting at 11 sharp.

*Senior football was away to
Newry Bosco on sunday and again
Teconnaught came up short the
game was close in the first
half and then Gary Fitzsimmons
was dismissed for a second yellow
. Teconnaught had around 70
percent of possession but in
the final third did not put
away vital scores Henry Greene
scored four points and at the
other end Justin Kelly made
a fine save after Bosco was
awarded a penalty .Bosco ran
out winners in the end 2-7 to
0-6 next senior match is Saul
at home on friday hopefully
we can get back to winning ways.Rota

on gate Anthony Greene,Jim Greene
umpires and Brendan Maguire

*Minor football was home game
against Breadgh , the game got
off to a lively start and Teconnaught
played well in the first half
to which Cormac Carville recieved
a shoulder injury hope Cormac
recovers quickly ,but Breadgh
imposed themselves and ran out
comfortable winners in the end
,one player stood out for Teconnaught
was Micheal Monan a young man
with a bright future in gaelic
football.Minor feis sevens next
sunday in kilief .
*Under 14 boys had a great home
win against Ardglass last thursday
Teconnaught 5-6 Ardglass 4-4
Conor Greene controlled the
back line and was helped out
by Patrick Maguire ,in the middle
of the park Jordan Wynne and
Stephen Mulhlolland started
to gain the upper hand and gave
good supply of ball to Gerard
Murray and Patrick Grant ,Ben
Casement and it was from this
trio the goals did come.In goals
Nathan Brennan had a good game
and used the ball well from
the kick outs ,keep up the good
work lads.
*Under 16 boys beat Ardglass
with Jack Bell and Tony Davies
playing well in the back line
Micheal Monan and Calon Heath
dominated in midfield and Daryl
Curtin did well up front Teconnaught
1-12 Ardglass 0-7.
*Under 10 played Drumaness in
friendly on sunday morning and
had a good win Andrew McCartan
was dominating at the back line
and Kirclan Boyd played well
in defence Rory A nderson and
Eoin Mulholland were strong
at midfield and Kieran Murdock
did well up front a very fine
display by all the team in this
friendly .
*Entertainment by Katz on saturday
night had a very poor turnout
to what proved to be a very
good band we would like to thank
barstaff and anyone who helped
out on the night ,hopefully
the next function will be attende
by more members and players
