*Senior played St Pauls at
the rann rd on friday night
in a very low scoring first
half 0-3 0-3 both sides guilty
of missing chances.A great save
in the first half by Teconnaught
goalie J Kelly denied St Pauls
a certain goal,the second period
was played at a higher tempo
but agqain Teconnaught failed
to take vital scores in this
period ,St Pauls ran out winners
by one point.
*Reserves played local dearby
against Drumaness and this proved
a different encounter from the
last dearby with Teconnaught
showing more fight and determanation
and held out for a draw and
were unlucky not to win the
game.
*Under `12 championship match
was a home tie against Kilcoo
and from the start Teconnaught
did not impose themselves on
the game and allowed Kilcoo
to dominate in all sectors of
the park, Kilcoo ran out worthy
winners and we wish them well
in the championship.
*Sport day on sunday was a great
sucess and we would like to
thank all members who helped
on the day, attendance was very
poor from parents of children
competing in under age football
we would urge parents to come
out and support the small children
and watch how they have progressed
at gaelic. The under 8 team played
Carryduff and put up a great
team performance and were unlucky
not to win the cup.In the under
10 Peter Tumelty memorial trophy
Teconnaught won back the trophy
from a very good Carryduff team.We
would like to thank all the
Carryduff teams and management
and parents for comming down
and supporting our sports day.A
big thanks to all who worked
in the shop ,bar bque, face painting
and other events also a big
thanks to all the lads on the
dunking machine with S Anderson
the most dunked man.The girls
under 16 played Saval and some
good football on show from both
sides ,Teconnaught girls were
tackling hard and made Saval
work for the scores ,Saval eventually
ran out winners.
*Best wishes to senior player
Damien Mulholland who is getting
married this week good luck
Damien from all the club members.
