Teconnaught Notes 3rd August 2008


*Senior game was a home game against Bosco and was a game of two halfs , in the first half Teconnaught showed a lot of passion and skill with C Mc Namara on top form in defence and S Kerr winning a lot of ball in the middle of the park.In the forward line it was C Brennan again in excellent form with points from play and frees,fellow forward R Sweeney scored a great goal in the first half .In the second period Bosco dominated and drew level and it wasnt until fifteen minutes to go that Teconnaught started to pull away from the visitors and ran out winners by two points.On friday it was away to Saul where Teconnaught fought well in the first half in very wet and windy conditions,in the second half a missed goal chance by Teconnaught turned the game and Saul started to dominate the rest of the game and ran out winners ,Teconnaught will have to learn to grind out wins and compete in both periods of the game.Next match is senior championship match against Killeif @7pm in Darragh cross on friday 15th august.
*Reserve were beaten away to attical in the championship, next match is away to Cill Darrach on wednesday @730 and then a home game against St John on sunday @7pm.
*Cul camp is in Teconnaught from 11- 15 of august any players wishing to join the camp for the week must regerister with Dominic Mulholland this week it is £30 for the week and each player will recieve a full kit and bag.
*Under 12 were away to Bright on sunday and we had a good performance from J Greene in defence and M Owens in the half back line ,the midfield duo of P Maguire and P Grant dominated in this sector, and up front it was young Rory Anderson who on his debut for the under 12 was in great scoring form and scored a great goal,Teconnaught ran out winners 2-3 to 1-4.
