TECONNAUGHT GFC NOTES
- The past 2 weeks has been a close down of all fixtures within the County due to the Summer Holidays however, the Seniors were in action last Monday night in the Connolly Cup held in Ballykinlar. They faced St Johns and although neither team fielded a full compliment of players however, it was Teconnaught who used their squad better winning 1-15 to 1-5 with St Johns only managing 0-1 in the first half and Teconnaught's goal coming from Dominic Flanagan. The win meant they faced Bright on Monday night and by the time of publication the scoreline will have been decided and hopefully we will be through to the Final to be held on Friday 25th July in Ballykinlar.
- Normal League fixtures resume on Sunday 27th July when the Seniors take on Bosco at home. Rota for this match is Gerard Murnin, Dominic Mulholland, Hugh Roagn & Denis McGrath.
The team then travel to Saul on Friday 1st August, home to Glassdrumman on Monday 4th August & away to Carryduff on Friday 8th August.
- Our normal PRO decided to treat himself to a holiday with the family in Austria so this week's publication has fell to the role of his assistant to complete! We hope he had a good time and will be glad to see him return to normal action!
- Senior player David McGreevy departs us this week as he travels to New York to play for American team Down in their forthcoming games and we wish him the best of luck on his vocation.
- U10's will participate int he next round of Go Games on Saturday 26th July. Players should contact Team Managers Dominic or Seamus for venues and meeting times.
- Entertainment returns to the Clubrooms on Friday 8th August to bid farewell to the next set of Oz seekers so hope you can all make it!
