*Senior football on friday night
was away to Drumgath and the
first half was a low scoring
affair with Niall Sweeney scoring
a goal to register Teconnaught
only score in the first half.The
second period was a livelier
affair and Teconnaught Connor
Brennan scored a goal and a
point. Drumgath were awarded
a penalty with twelve mins to
go, with an excellent double
saved from Justin Kelly denied
Drumgath,Teconnaught were on
top during this spell with Niell
Sweeney hitting the net again
and twin brother Ronan Sweeney
adding a point to increase the
lead. Drumgath continued to
slot over the points and were
looking to hold out for the
win but Niall Mullholland on
a come back from injury leveled
the game in the last few seconds.
This was an excellent team preformance
with Ciaren McNamara Seamus
Madine Connor Brennan Henry
Greene and Justin Kelly were
best for Teconnaught ,final
score Teconnaught 3-4 Drumgath
1-10. This week the team are
home to Mitchells, rota for
match officals Kevin Crawford
on gate Anthony and Jim Greene
umpires and Brendan Maguire
on lines man.
*Under 8s won the Newry Shamrocks
tournment on Saturday and brought
home the first cup this year
,they beat Rostrevor,Shamrocks
and met Burren in the semi final
were Niall Donnan scoring the
winning point to take Teconnaught
into the final. They played
Mayobridge in the final and
a great team preformance and
determination saw the team come
away with the cup, this was
a great achievement for Teconnaught
to beat teams of this calibre
well done to the team and management.

Cill Darrach were they won the
score line of 7-16 to 1-12 Teconnaught
were slow to start allowing
the Darragh forwards plenty

half back.The second half Teconnaught
were dominate in midfield with
Patrick Maguie and Joe Larkin,
and up front plenty of goals
and points from Captain Patrick
Grant and fellow forwards Lorcan
McDonald and Ben Casement.

to be beaten by Glassdrumman
in the feis sevens final by
1-13 to 1-9

on track to win the league with
only one game remaning against
Downpatrick. The girls played
Rostrevor on Sunday and won
on a score line of 4-9 to Rostrevor
no points . A fantastic preformence
by the girls with Amy Greene
playing well at the back and
Jennifer Greene dominant up
front along with the Bradley
girls scoring the points and
