Teconnaught Notes 8th June 2008

*Senior football hosted Newry Mitchels at the Rann road on friday night, the first half both sides were guilty of ball and scoring errors with Teconnaught doing all the work in the Mitchells half of the park but not taking scores from easy chances .Connor Brennan was again the forward on form in front of the posts and Ciaran Mc Namara gave a man of the match display at full back making the forwards of Mitchells work hard for their scores. The second half Teconnaughts midfield started to dominate and quick supply was delivered to the forwards, with Henry Greene holding ball up for danger men Conor Brennan and Niall Sweeney to add points to drive Teconnaught in front, also the introduction of Niall Mulholland back from injury lifted the Teconnaught forwards who were now out in front for every ball.Good team work and more direct play in the second half Teconnaught ran out winners by two points .
