*Senior football second win
for Teconnaught 1-9 to St Paul
0-8 a good win away from home
indeed first time St Pauls have
been defeated at home in 18
months.The first half Teconnaught
scored an early goal by Paul
Mulholland and a point from
Eamon Bell on his senior debut
who had a good start in his
senior career,then we had 2
points from Conor Brennan a
man in form up front and another
point from David Kelly .In the
second half St Paul started
on fire and our defence was
under pressure but the reliable
duo of Seamus Madine and Ciaran
Mc Namara steady the ship ,further
points from R Sweeney,C Brennan,
P Mulholland ,C Clarke and final
point T Rogan sealed victory.Next
week our neighbours Drumaness
will be the visitors at the
Rann rd on thursday night at
730, hopefully we can make it
three wins in a row.

an eight weeks suspenison an

to senior players Niall Mulholland
and Paul Mulholland ,both lads
are flying down under to Austraila
the club wishes the boys all
the best on there travels and
hope they return for next season
and bring some of the other
exiles home.We urge all members
and players to attend the function
and promise a good nights craic
also on the 7th June subject
to licence there will be a poker
night in aid of chairty.
*Under 16 boys played Kilceif
and won with Teconnaught 2-11
Kilceif 2-5 player of the match
was Micheal Monan and was closely
followed by Sean Larkin, the
Teconnaught defence conceded
two soft goals in the first
half but manager Ciaran Mc Namara
team talk at half time done
the trick and Teconnaught dominated
the second period ,Micheal Monan
covered the whole park and Caolan
Heath and Tony Davies were picking
up a lot of ball ,Micheal Heath
and Jack Bell also performed
well up front as did Darly Curtin.
*Under 12 played host to Bright
on sunday and ran out comfortable
winners in a very good team
performance by Teconnaught .Patrick
Grant captain of the team covered
the pitch and led from the front
and was assisted up front by
Ben Casement who had a fine
game in front of the posts.The
midfield duo of Joe Larkin and
Patrick Maguire dominated the
middle and centre half back
Conor Brannigan ,Aidan McDonald
and MarkOwens were sound as
was Ryan Brennan in goals .well
done to the lads who only lost
one game this season.
*Under 14 boys were unlucky
against Bright on thursday losing
by two points 5-5 to 5-7 loose
defence in the first half they
conceded points and two soft
goals in the second half ,Stephen
Mulholland ran his socks off
for Teconnaught also good performances
from Conor Greene and Jack Larkin
who was full of running we hope
the lads get back to winning
ways next match.
*Minor team was at home to Ardglass,
and put in an average performance
in the first half last wednesday
and at half time were not performing
,but Robbie Greenes talk at
half time livened the lads up
and David Kelly sent a goal
to the net for Teconnaught and
then Ardglass was awarded a
penalty which was converted
,still Teconnaught continued
to stick the points over .The
game was slowed by fouling mostly
by Ardglass and theTeconnaught
midfield duo of Matthew Branningan
and Shea Carville dominated
with young Branningan fielding
a lot off ball and driving Teconnaught
in the second period,Ardglass
ran out winners by a point.
*Under 10 go games will be at
the Rann rd this saturday players
to attend at 930 sharp
Teconnaught will be entering
two teams, also taking part
will be Saul,Breadgh,Kilcoo
and Castlewellan for further

*Under 14 girls played Saul
on sunday and proved to be match
of the week Teconnaught 1-9
to Saul 1-0 this is three wins
in a row for the girls and puts
them top of the league good
work from Orla ,Michelle and
Paul managers of the team and
the girls for the work rate
they have put in this season.Jennifer
Greene worked hard in the middle
and was assisted by Nichole
Mulholland with Shannon Rogan
and Maura Quinn keeping the
backline tight for Teconnaught
up front Aillea Bradley was
on form and Christine Madine
was always a threat ,good win
keep up the good work girls,the
next match is Saul next sunday.
*Reserves played Dundrum on
sunday and had a fine blend
of youth and experience on the
team, with veterns Barry Casement
and Robbie Greene,Colin Casement
steading the ship and displaying
good performances.David Kelly
was always a threat up front
and Eamon Bell gave a strong
performance at the back,Teconnaught
ran out winners on a scoreline
3-8 to 2-9 a good hardworking
team performance.
