*Senior football local derby
against Drumaness failed to
ignite both teams were guilty
of bad ball handling and unable
to take scores .The first half
was a close encounter and in
the second half Teconnaught
was the dominant team ,but again
the final ball in the last third
of the pitch Teconnaught did
not take the vital scores and
had all the play in Drumaness
half .On the break Drumaness
went up and punished Teconnaught
with points and eventully ran
out winners 0-9 to 0-8.Teconnaught
were unlucky not to come away
with all the points from this
local derbynext match is Drumgath
away ,rota for match officals
is Brian McDonald and John Mc
Grath umpires and Barry Greene
linesman.
*Girls under 16 turned out
to be match of the week and
it was Saul the visitors to
the Rann road.Teconnaught won
on a scoreline of 2-18 to Saul
3-4 an exellent performance
and hard work in the back line
from Nichole Mulholland and
Orla Flannagan in the first
half saw off the Saul challange
with some good points taken
by Catherine Greene and Roighnaigh
Bradley and Claire Mc Donald,in
the second half Teconnaught
playing against the wind and
with some fine saves from Shannon
Rogan continued there dominance
on the game, overall a strong
team performance from all the
girls on the panel every girl
worked their socks off for the
win who are now second in the
league.

Teconaught and Glassdrumman
in Castlewellan on sunday at
2pm.

night 7-8 and match away on
sunday against Cill Daragh meeting
sharp at 11.
Under 16 boys were beaten by
a strong Kilcoo team on sunday
,Teconnaught were slow of the
mark in the first half but a
good team talk by manager Ciaran
Mc Namara saw them boss the
second period and the gave eventul
winners Kilcoo a good second
half performance.

to Drumaness in the championship
on thursday .
