Warrenpoint as predicted found themselves up against a really good Liatroim side, and showed that the point boys can hurl, score, field, with skill and passion, and stuck to their own game plan.

K Maxwell scoring 0.3 points,M Cunningham and C O Niell scoring a goal each for a total of 2.3 to Liatroims 2.7. in the first half .The point defence had to make some strategic switchs involving O Mc Anulty, M Hughes, and S Burns to stop some long range scores by Liatroim.

The second half got of to a lighting start with some brillient play from both teams, C Cunningham played great throughout the game fielded the slitoar and broke down the right wing and from a very acute angle lobed over a cracking point, K Maxwell and M Cunningham added a point each, Liatroim still managed to maintain their lead with some fine scores all though the point did stop them from scoring any more goals they ran out the winners of this game their manager did say the point team give them some game.

On the night the general concenous from the spectators was "a good game of hurling" by both teams.
