Warrenpoint Hurling Notes - 3rd May

*The point senior hurling team lost away to portaferry only 15 players turned up for this their third league fixture, the final score was ports 3.12 ---point 1.2 .next game away to Ballyvarley.

*U16,away to castlewellan lost not only the points in their game but had a boy sent off in the first few minutes who was also injuried , and if that was not enough eight more young hurlers where injured and all received firstaid treatment, lucky we had one. And the game ?, well the point team down to 14 played on , going in at half time winning, this seemed to have the wrong effect as on came castlewellans subs including one of their umpires.this had a big effect on our defence conceding two goals, the point boys done all they could but could not get back into the game. Final score 5.4 -----point 1.9

*U14, No game due to Ulster Feile, *The county feile is in Portaferry this saturday 8th May, bus for the team will leave st marks at 9.00am promtly.Parents/gaurdians should make an effort to attend and support their children ,this is one of the more enjoyable hurling events of the season .

*U12, Next game away to Newry Shamrocks saturday 15 may 2.00pm .

Well done to the senior footballers beating Rostrevor .............................up the point.
