Caman Og Strikes again!

St Peters, Warrenpoint GAA and the Newry branch of Ireland Recruitment Agency of the Year, Grafton Recruitment have kicked off the return of the successful Caman Og Hurling Academy for all young children aged 5-12 years of age. Speaking at the re- launch of the Academy, a delighted Denise Hopps, Branch Manager of Grafton Newry said; "We're delighted to once again to be actively involved with Caman Og and support local young individuals to reach their aspirations in their sporting vocation, we thrive at a grass roots level, having the kids and managers from Caman Og along today to launch the sponsorship deal, is a perfect example of what Grafton is all about.”

Following from the success of last year the official launch will be Wednesday 7th, with training running from 11.30 to 1pm every Saturday for 15 weeks in St. Marks playing fields. Brian Murphy, Caman Og Manager commented “This year again we have committed and qualified coaches from within the club and county offering the finest coaching available to provide all young hurlers and camogs the opportunity to learn the basic skills of our native sport and of course to have an enjoyable time.”

With support coming from our Senior Committee and the County Board; with the endeavour of our numerous coaches; with the grateful use of the school premises by St. Marks and of course the generous and continued support of Grafton Recruitment it is hoped that the Academy can prove just as successful and rewarding in 2008 as it was in 2007. All parents are encouraged to bring their kids each and every Saturday and to contact any hurler in the town for further details.
