ACFL Div 2: Carryduff 0-03 Warrenpoint 0-11
Carryduff seniors not only lost a vital two points against the visitors Warrenpoint on Friday night but in a very indisciplined game they also lost two players to serious injury. Corner forward Matt Halligan was taken off in the first half with a badly injuried shoulder and corner back Philip Maguire was taken away by ambulance after a bad tackle caused serious knee ligament damage. The match itself was a poor quality affair with Warrenpoints ability to take their scores the only difference between the team as neither managed to dominate or play anything resembling good football. Both teams failed to finish the match with their full complement of players with Adrian Scullion, Gavin Kelly and manager Alex McGoran sent off for Carryduff. Warrenpoint had one man sent off for the horrific tackle on Philip Maguire. The final score was Carryduff 0-03 Warrenpoint 0-11.
