Dundrum Lift Connolly Cup - 23/07/2002

Dundrum cruised to a 1-16 to 1-6 win over their parish rivals Ballykinlar to lift the Connolly Cup, the prize for the highly successful Ballykinlar football tournament.

Played in poor conditions, with rain falling throughout the game, Dundrum proved the superior side. Even though they were reduced to 14-men five minutes into the second-half when midfielder Jonathan McMullan was sent off they still dominated the game and had always too much strength and talent for their opponents.

At the end of the game, the prestigious Connolly Cup was presented to the Dundrum captain Colm Morgan while Martin Coughlan received the award for the player of the tournament to complete a great double for the Dundrum club.
