Rostrevor help Derry Minors in their preparations
Rostrevor continued their preparations for the county final
with their second challenge game against the All Ireland
Minor Finalists Derry in 3 weeks on
Saturday the 7th September.
The
venue of this game was Carryduff's recently opened pitch
which was specifically requested by Derry Minors as the
pitch's dimensions are slightly larger than Croke Park's.
Both
sides were missing a few faces due to injuries and in Derry's
case, club championship semi finals, and this gave the respective
managements the opportunity to let all the players on their
panels stake their claims for places on the teams in their
upcoming finals .
After
a closely contested game, Derry emerged winners in the end
and hopefully this will help them in their preparations
for All Ireland success.
Before
the game, the Derry management took a selection of Carryduff's
young players for a coaching session, which proved to be
very beneficial and worthwhile for all involved.
